Bialetti was founded in 1919 in Crusinallo (in the Italian province of Piemonte). The first steps of the workshop were taken in the manufacture of articles from aluminum. He transformed his studio – Alfonso Bialetti & C. Fonderia in Conchiglia – into a design and production studio. In 1933 Bialetti registered the brand and focused on the production of coffee pots. The company was later taken over by his son Renato Bialetti. Meanwhile, 90 percent of all households in Italy have a Bialetti coffee pot and the brand is making a comeback on a global scale.
